Descrição: The Barcelona International Conventions Centre was (CCIB) opened in 2004, and is located on the new Diagonal Mar sea front. It forms part of the technological district known as "Barcelona 22@", with 4,900 hotel rooms nearby and an important communications network.

Located on the sea front, the CCIB is one of the largest meeting centres in southern Europe. It has 100,000 sq m (Conventions Centre and Forum Auditorium), joined by Rambla de Conexión. There is sufficient capacity for up to 15,000 persons and 11,340 sq m of exhibition space, with 36 rooms, a banquet hall with sea views and an auditorium that seats 3,200. The centre is known for its versatile interiors, which are uncluttered, with natural light and fitted out with the latest technology, which offer clients a wide range of high quality services and facilities. It recently won the Bronze Award for the Best Conventions Centre organised by the magazine C&IT, and the AIPC Prize for the Conventions Centre with the best technological fittings in the world in 2007, among other awards. The CCIB centre is in possession of the ISO 14001 standard.

Type of cooking: It has its own catering service, CCIB Catering, with qualified staff that prepare up to 30,000 meals a day. They prepare coffee-breaks, cocktails, buffets, or formal lunches or suppers. Their dishes are based on modern Catalan recipes, with a contemporary touch.
